Why AMCVD and Not "The Other" Donation Charity ?
Unfortunately, many vehicle donation charities are not "real charities." In truth, most vehicle donation charities are "for-profit charities," but disguised as "non-profit charities !" This is definitely not the case at Ave Maria Catholic Vehicle Donations ! We originally entered into this arena, being fully aware that most vehicle donation programs fall into the "questionably unethical" category. It is our intent to change that -- by ethically and morally delivering outstanding, honest services to our benefactors and participating charities ! With that said, Ave Maria will net you many more dollars per vehicle -- than any other vehicle donation program -- and we do all the work ! We truly excel in maximizing the potential donation for the charity of your choice. "The other donation for-profit company" may obtain up to 90% or more of the donation, leaving less than 10% to your charity. At AMCVD, it is typical to donate anywhere from 60-75% or more per vehicle, depending on the quality, the demand at sale, and various conditions of the vehicle, at point of inspection, costs of sale, and final sale. As the final sales become larger, the donations to the chosen charities become larger and maximized tax donation deductions become more inviting to the donors ! What Is Allowed for the Tax Deduction ? How Much Will It Be Worth ?
When the vehicle sells for $500 or less, you will receive a tax deduction letter from Ave Maria Catholic Vehicle Donations stating your vehicle sold for $500 or less. As allowed by the IRS, you may claim a deduction for the lesser of the vehicle’s fair market value or $500. When the vehicle sells for more than $500, you will receive a tax deduction letter stating the gross sales price. For example, if it sells for $4,250, your tax deduction is $4,250.

Will My Car Be Junked or Used for Parts ?
This depends on the condition of the vehicle and other factors. In some instances, the vehicle is worth more in parts. We evaluate what will maximize your donation and return. Regardless, the donation will greatly benefit your charity and you will receive a tax deduction letter.

What Happens If There's a Problem With My Vehicle After It's Donated ?
You are responsible for the car until it is picked up. All prior storage charges and fines should be paid. Once the car is picked up by Ave Maria Catholic Vehicle Donations, the responsibility is now ours.

What Do I Need to Know About Signing My Title ?
We will give you specific instructions. Some states have different regulations concerning where and how you sign off the title. Whatever you do, do not sign anything before connecting with us. If you have signed it previously, we will work with our Title Department and remedy any problems. You will feel comfortable with our level of professionalism!

Why Should I Feel Comfortable Giving My Signed Title Away to AMCVD ?
When we pickup your vehicle, you will receive a pickup receipt. A Transfer Agreement letter will also be provided from us stating the acceptance of your donation, our processing information, and responsibilities in selling your vehicle. Once the vehicle is sold, we will send a tax deduction letter to you.
